LAND MOBIITY – Innovative and digital training materials to foster land mobility initiatives – first project meeting – Dublin 2019

In December 2019 the first meeting of the LAND MOBILITY project took place in Dublin, Ireland. For the meeting, hosted by Macra na Feirme – project coordinator, arrived all the project partners, that is: Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT), Ireland; University of Bedfordshire, England, The Polish Farm Advisory and Training Centre not-for-profit Sp. z o.o., Poland; PROPEL Europe, Belgium; and the European Landowners Organization, Belgium.

The LAND-MOBILITY project is about promoting initiatives and innovative concepts surrounding the land mobility in European Union countries. The project team will develop guidelines, open access training materials and animated educational video for landowners, farmers and advisors in the area of land mobility services, land management partnerships and farm take-over brokerage.

An important point of the meeting was presentation given by the Land Mobility Manager in Ireland – Austin Finn. At the meeting, the representatives of the project had the honour to meet the Irish Minister for Agriculture, Food and The Marine Mr. Michael Creed. The Minister discussed with the project partners about the situation of land mobility in Poland, Great Britain and Belgium.

During the meeting in the Irish capital, the project partners presented their organisations and discussed the work plan for the coming year. The project logo was chosen and the design of the project website was preliminarily accepted. The next meeting is planned for July 2020 in Poland. The meeting will be conducted by the Polish Farm Advisory and Training Centre not-for-profit Sp. z o.o.
